With Every Thought We Rebirth Our Future.

What is the power of Thoughts? Take a moment to think about a time when you were extremely happy. It may have been the birth of your son or daughter, walking hand in hand with your soul mate, graduating from college, purchasing your first home….. Now close your eyes and relive that moment. Paint the perceptual landscape: sights, sounds, smells, touch, taste….. Be immersed in the feelings and emotions of that moment.
Can you feel it? You just relived it!
No matter if it happened 6 hours or sixteen years ago, we can recreate that moment vividly. The level of intensity depends on us. The stronger the Energy, the stronger the emotion. Regardless if the moment is good or bad, we can recreate it.
According to UCLA’s Laboratory of Neuro Imaging, the average person has approximately 70,000 thoughts per day. That equals to a different thought every 1.2 seconds. Also, of those thoughts 70-80% are negative and 85-95% are the same thoughts we had yesterday and the day before. Basically habitual thoughts. These thoughts, whether recycled or new, create our world. Often we are not aware of this fact. Instead of living, we are just going through the motions (Emotions) – cruising on auto pilot.
Experts say, “change your thoughts, change your world”. But is it that simple? We change our thoughts in the short run, but then digress back to the same “old” thoughts. Any gains are quickly erased and we become upset, angry, and in extreme cases depressed. These feelings may hinder or prevent us from trying again.
A change in thoughts is only temporary. We need to explore what is behind a “thought”. We must ask: What is at the root of our thoughts? Where do our thoughts come from?
”What you believe, you live.”
Your beliefs create your thoughts and your thoughts manifest your world. You may want to read that statement again. Beliefs are the “Cause” and your world is the “Effect”. Beliefs are the foundation of you Inner World. Your Outer World is a direct reflection of your Inner World; the Law of Cause and Effect.
Your Beliefs have been with you since the beginning. Life Experiences; good, bad, or indifferent; have formed your Belief System. One of our classic beliefs is we are a “victim”. We embrace this belief and use it to as justification for our problems, lack of success, lost love, disappointment, unfulfilled dreams….. Victim mentality can define some lives and thus create their world.
How do Beliefs manifest? Through thoughts. Beliefs give form to our thoughts. Our thoughts can be considered the seeds of creation.
“Thoughts are things, thoughts impact everything.”
One of the Ancient Laws is Mentalism – everything begins and ends with thoughts. Everything in this world was once a thought in the mind of several people. Only a few people took that thought to the next level – creation.
Let me illustrate the process. Our Mind perceives the world around it through the five senses. It reads the perceptual landscape. Once a stimuli is observed, it is relayed back to the Soul for decoding. The Soul assigns the stimuli an identity or meaning (Power of Intention). This identity or meaning is conveyed in a thought. This “new thought” drives all subsequent thoughts, words, and actions. This “new thought” is energized through emotions and feelings to create a mood. A mood develops into a consciousness or awareness. We start to see the World as “that”. Consciousness manifests a State of Being. We become “That”. State of Being creates our reality – we live “That”. “That” is what our Soul creates with the Power of Intention – assigning a meaning.
It is important to understand that this Thought can be based on fact or fiction. The Mind, conscious and subconscious, does not differentiate between what is true or false; it only acts upon the thought.
How does the Soul assign meaning to the stimuli? Through our: Past, Memories, Thoughts, Beliefs, Karma, and Experiences.
We live a pattern of habitual behavior. Think about the times you respond the same way to a particular situation, event, or person. Someone told me how they became uncomfortable with seeing the mailman. They knew he was going to deliver bad news: collection letter, past due bills, legal notice….. Once they were riding on the train to downtown Chicago, they saw a postal truck out the window. Suddenly they felt a sense of dread and their stomach got tight. This postal truck was not even in their neighborhood!!! But their Soul reacted as if that postal truck was in front of their house.
You will discover that you are a prisoner to your negative thoughts. You are living a lie.
A simple self-check to use throughout the day, ask yourself the following questions:
- What am I feeling?
- What am I thinking?
- What belief(s) is at the root of that thought?
Feelings are the most obvious indicators of your thoughts. Our thoughts create those feelings and emotions. And our Beliefs are at the root of our thoughts.
